Playing on a good quality grass pitch is vitally important, with no pitch, there can be no game! Before applying for funding, the club should complete a free PitchPower inspection on their pitch to better understand how the pitch is constructed, and what work should be considered. 

Any new pitch drainage and irrigation system then needs to be designed by a specialist consultant (agronomist) to ensure that the correct systems are installed in line with the ground conditions in order to maintain the pitch at a minimum level of ‘Good'. The design and specification need to be produced in conjunction with the Club’s most recent PitchPower report. Mobile irrigation systems and boreholes are eligible for funding.
