Stadium Accreditation
Improving the quality of stadiums
If your Club competes within the Men’s National League System or the Women’s Football Pyramid, it will be required to play at a venue that meets the requirements of The FA’s Stadium Accreditation programme.
Since 2023, The FA and the Premier League Stadium Fund have worked together to develop the Stadium Accreditation programme, which replaced The FA Ground Grading criteria. Utilising a new digital tool called StadiumPower, clubs can work with the team at the Premier League Stadium Fund to ensure that their stadium meets all the requirements of the league that they play in.
What improvements do clubs typically need to make?
Your StadiumPower assessment is designed to review your ground against the relevant criteria, and identify where improvements are needed to be made to achieve compliance. Typical improvements that are identified through StadiumPower include works to changing rooms, dugouts, pitch perimeter barriers, floodlights and spectator accommodation. To review the latest criteria, please visit the FA website. Once your StadiumPower assessment has been completed, you may be eligible to apply for funding to carry out any necessary improvements that are required to achieve your ground grading.
What is StadiumPower?
StadiumPower is the online tool that is used for the Stadium Accreditation Programme. It helps clubs understand the Stadium Accreditation requirements (formerly Ground Grading) for their stadium, track progress against progress, and manage their Stadium Accreditation in one place.
